Happy Tuesday Blockfolians!
Here’s a juicy report from CoinDesk sources: for the past year, some of the most storied institutions in American academia have been quietly buying bitcoin.
Harvard, Yale, Brown and the University of Michigan have all been allocating from their massive endowments. The source anticipates that these endowments will begin discussion their allocations later this year.
Important to note: these institutions aren’t just influential in the academic world. These multibillion dollar endowments are run by some of the savviest money managers out there - money managers who many of their peers and colleagues listen to.
As we’ve said before, 2021 is just getting started.
